The unit aims to support the university in fulfilling its mission of providing scientific and artistic services across various fields of art and architecture through the following:

• Designing and implementing training programs for both university members and external participants in the unit’s areas of specialization.

• Executing production projects within the unit’s scope of work for the university and third parties.

• Collaborating with sectors related to urban development, tourism, environment, public utilities, various authorities, and local government bodies; and participating in artistic projects on both local and regional levels in cooperation with governmental ministries and institutions.

• Conducting scientific research within the unit’s fields of specialization and establishing communication channels with businesses, companies, and government agencies.

• Providing a range of services and activities for both university members and the wider community in the unit’s areas of operation.

• Strengthening cultural and scientific ties with other universities and academic institutions regionally and internationally by organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops related to the unit’s areas of interest.

The provisions of this regulation govern the financial and administrative procedures of the Production Unit of the Faculty of Fine Arts – Helwan University (a special-purpose unit) that enjoys technical, financial, and administrative independence.

The unit was established in accordance with University Council Resolution No. (237), dated 29/11/1998, and pursuant to Article (307) of the Executive Regulations of the Universities Organization Law, in light of the Cabinet Resolution No. (232) issued in its session held on 08/03/2023, specifically items (3) and (4), which addressed the regularization of the status of regulations not yet approved by the Ministry of Finance in accordance with their current conditions. This is to be conducted with the Ministry of Finance reviewing revenues and expenditures, etc., in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 809 of 1975 and Law No. 49 of 1972.
